Randy and Tristyn said, “I do,” while kissed by Las Vegas’ 45-degree sun in the midst of the mesmeric Caesars Palace. Though far from their home of Medicine Hat, they managed to incorporate several personal touches to their day, from monogrammed robes to personalized wine glasses.
Tristyn was a picture of ease from the moment she put on her dress. It was her wedding day and yet she was calmer than I was. The entire family was incredibly welcoming and simply present to celebrate the love these two had for each other and their two boys, who were each paid an American dollar to smile and behave for photos. So, of course, they were perfect little angels, and only in Las Vegas does a bride come across a candy store so that she can buy goodies for her kids in the midst of shooting formals. It was of course perfect that we also ran into elvis at the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign.
The celebration continued at a reception at Trevi in the Caesars Palace shops. Guests were encouraged to eat to their heart’s content and the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. There, Tristyn’s parents, who were celebrating their 33rd wedding anniversary that same night, were presented with their own cake in celebration. It was a day encased with the celebration of love.
