It’s rare that I get to photograph a wedding this time of year, and yet rich fall colours are probably one of my favourite things to capture on camera. For Robyn and Ryan’s wedding, mother nature gifted us with not only her vibrant colours but perfect fall weather, too. While rain was in the forecast, we were only met with a light sprinkle halfway through formals.
With 10 groomsmen, this wedding definitely had the biggest bridal party of the year; it was also one of the largest bridal parties I’ve ever shot in general. While a bridal party of 17 definitely made my job a little more challenging, it also brought about its own entertainment, with jokes constantly made at the groom’s expense, keeping the air light. However, everyone also pitched in to cater to Robyn, making sure that she was looked after and smiling. In the end, Robyn was honestly one of the calmest and sweetest brides I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
However, it was when I took Robyn and Ryan aside for formals, away from the rest of the bridal party, that I realized just how in love and romantic they are with each other. Watching Ryan watch Robyn could make anyone believe in love, and their’s is sincerely heartfelt. I’m not typically one to cry at weddings, but these two had me blinking away tears more than once on their day.
Congratulations, Robyn and Ryan.
